VARIETY

Focussing on Performance as a special tradition in artistic practice this program is to understood as an umbrella or mobile stage housing the various activities within the field of performance at KHiB. VARIETY is thus not a course in the traditional sense, but rather a field of activities to be explored by students, teachers and guest-artists.

In the study year 2013/14 the core of VARIETY is an ongoing seminar on Performance Art History and an assigment developing a series a student-led thematic performance-events. Adding to this a program of lectures and courses is planned.

Frans Jacobi
Frans Jacobi is a visual artist. Works with the dark poetics of contemporary politics. Performance, installation, sculpture, video, photo, text and drawing. Frans Jacobi is based in Copenhagen Denmark and Bergen Norway. Works as a professor at KHiB Bergen Art and Design Academy.
